Hi! My name is Dharanga. I am a Sri Lankan and a PhD student at University of Wolverhampton, United Kingdom. My interests lie far and wide, but in the end I will always be a seeker of knowledge. Hence ratifying social issues and justices are of importance to me. Growing up, I was always surrounded by all cultures present in my country and I could not have asked for a better childhood. It instilled deep respect for individualistic perspectives and provided insight to all corners of modern society and of the world. Most of all, it showed how history repeatedly exemplified the concept of trial and error. I always have and always will believe that if we take the time to learn and simultaneously grow with each other, we will continuously define a better future. Will it take time? Yes. Then does it matter? Absolutely.

I am an introvert and tend to keep to myself, but I think I‘m a friendly person. I love dogs and I’m passionate about many social issues, especially those advocating for justice and environmentalism. I also love Halloween and have been using this time to start putting my costume together! Anyways, quarantine has been an interesting experience that has shown all sides of myself and I’m glad to share my perspectives through this project.
